Founded in 2016, and headed by long-time executive searcher Christine Koetsier, GEM Partners views leadership talent through the lens of a thoroughly global and international perspective. Each of the partners in this organization have a robust background in executive search and the strategic talent management of human capital.

We execute every assignment with the support of our Research Team, a group of highly specialized and experienced professionals in the world of executive search, with local and international networks. The team is led by Christine Koetsier and her decade-long researcher.  We combine our in-house tools with the power of social media to rapidly bring excellent results to our clients in a timely fashion.

Christine Koetsier is the founder of GEM Partners, and has accumulated nearly two decades of rigorous experience as an international executive searcher and strategic talent consultant. By drawing from her international background and her pool of extensive expertise, she fosters real-world, on-the-ground results for corporations and organizations striving for consistently high-level performance in the C-suite and management arena. 

Christine plunged into the field of executive search in 2001 by joining a top 7 global executive search group. Then, in 2010, she partnered with a smaller firm in London and executed her search strategies there before  going on to launch GEM Partners in 2016.  

What drives Christine – and fires her up, ready to take on the professional challenges and duties and nuances of executive search? 
She is motivated by a professional credo which emphasizes time-tested methods – which are known to create real results, again and again. And bolstered by a people-savvy way of seeing the world – a perspective which always strives to understand people and organizations at their deepest roots – she goes about her work with transparency, sincerity, and earnestness.  

Christine presently resides in Amsterdam, in the Netherlands.

DONNA HAMLIN | BOARDWISE

As a board searcher charged with director development, Donna Hamlin brings an exceptional depth of corporate experience to the GEM Partners team. She is the Board Chairperson of Boardwise, Inc., as well as Chairperson of Hamlin Harkins, Ltd. – a 35 year-old international management consulting firm working with a broad spectrum of domestic and international companies on issues of strategy, market growth and performance improvement.

In 2010, Donna stepped in as CEO for Boardwise and within 3 years had steered the young startup to a position of prominence as a multinational organization. In addition to her current board and executive roles, Donna has served on the boards of multiple organizations in a wide range of industries. She has also served as a committee advisor for publicly-held companies.  

With professional governance certifications from the National Association of Corporate Directors and Harvard University, Donna is recognized for her statesmanlike board style – successfully facilitating robust discussions of issues and integrating directors’ thinking into creative solutions.

Murray’s executive search work builds on his extensive executive operational experience. Murray has been a senior executive for commercial and government sponsored international programs. He is experienced in building companies in multicultural organizational technology development environments in more than 15 countries. 

With a robust background in serving on boards across numerous industries, Murray is a leading governance advisor and coach for Boardwise. He has served on boards in the fields of financial services, intelligence operations, supply chain and logistics, high performance computing, satellite communications, and specialized medical procedures. His current board assignments are in financial services, security, and investigative operations. 

He brings to our clients his broad-based, cross-functional executive acumen, with a strong thirty year record building executive teams and companies as CEO/COO of international firms, global companies and startups. He is experienced in executive leadership positions as CEO and COB, encompassing commercial markets and government programs.

Marilyn brings to the GEM team over 30 years of experience in the corporate world as a C-Suite executive, entrepreneur and executive coach. She has served at a listed company as Chief Diversity Officer and has worked with different domestic and international companies and organizations as Chief Learning Officer and CEO.  Her consulting work is widely recognized in the field of diversity and inclusion as well as women’s leadership development and networking. She is recognized as a thought leader in creating inclusive environments. 

Marilyn serves on several Boards, has been listed multiple times in "Who's Who – Women in Business," and is a recipient of the Women of Influence Award and others. 

In addition to her current work with numerous startups, Marilyn also consults with fortune 500 and multinational companies on developing and implementing diversity strategies. She is a regular blogger for the Huffington Post and frequently contributes to Forbes.
